Pastoral Letter Resources

In May of 2023, Bishop James Powers sent a letter to every registered household in the Diocese of Superior. Within the letter, Bishop Powers prefaces what true evangelization is, and lays out his vision for evagelization in our diocese. The Diocese created a study guide to help parishioners delve deeper into the letter and its goals.

I take no credit for this vision -- it is the vision of all of the popes of recent memory and of the Church Fathers in the first apostolic age. Nevertheless, it is my vision too. The Church’ s mission belongs to all of us - clergy and laity alike. The future of the Church and, indeed, of the world depends on our ‘yes’ to this divine invitation.
