Diocesan Clergy from outside the Diocese of Superior, who will be engaging in public active ministry in any parish, institution, or other part of the diocese, require prior permission of the Diocesan Bishop to undertake that ministry. Permission will only be granted if satisfactory written confirmation is given to the chancery from the visitng priest's own Bishop/Chancery that he is a cleric in good standing and that there are no concerns, allegations or criminal convictions relating to any sexual misconduct with children or adults at risk.
Religious Men (ordained or non-ordained) and Religious Women, who will be engaging in public active ministry in any parish, institution, or other part of the Diocese may do so with the permission of their Congregational Leader provided that they are attached to a Province whose territory includes all or part of the territory of the Diocese of Superior. Permission will only be granted if the Congregational Leader is satisfied that the individual is in good standing and that there are no concerns, allegations or criminal convictions relating to any sexual misconduct with children or adults at risk.
