The Office of Schools for the Diocese of Superior, in partnership with Regis Catholic Schools with collaboration from McDonell Area Catholic Schools, are pleased to announce a blended educational plan that will offer the opportunity to earn an accredited Catholic high school diploma from Regis High School in Eau Claire, Wisc.
Using the resources that Regis High School has, a student can earn credits through interactive virtual
classrooms, online classes, and participation in PE and music at their local Catholic school in the Diocese of Superior. The tuition for this venture will be around $3,500, payable to the local Catholic school. We will be able to launch for 9th GRADE ONLY on September 2, 2015, with plans to expand to 10th grade in 2016. Also in the planning stage is the potential for middle school classes for Catholic schools that don't offer these grades.
At this time, at least two of the required classes, including a year-long class from our Theology Department, will be interactive. This means the student will be able to participate face-to-face with peers from Regis through technology. The other required classes for 2015-16 will be offered online through software licensed to Regis. There are also more than 60 faith-based career and technical classes that will be offered as electives online. These will be in combination with the selections offered at your local Catholic school. At this time, students will be in attendance at their resident Catholic schools to be supervised for al classes
A course description book is being finalized and will be posted on the Diocese of Superior website and the Regis High School website by June 9, 2015. Enrollment should be completed online through Regis
Catholic Schools. Go to www.RegisCatholicSchools.com and click “Online Enrollment”, under the “Admissions” tab. Using the links on the right, click “New Families (K-12)” to start the enrollment
process. Fill out the form and at the end, click on cash/check. The local Catholic school will handle the
paymen plan options.
