Peter Noll, the education director of the Minnesota Catholic Conference since 1999, has been hired as principal of St. Patrick School, Hudson. Prior to his time at MCC, Noll, who holds a doctorate in educational administration from the University of Minnesota, worked as a principal for five different Catholic schools throughout Minnesota and as the curriculum director for the Archdiocese of Saint Paul and Minneapolis.
On May 25, the cluster parishes of Our Lady of Lourdes, Dobie; Holy Trinity, Haugen; and St. John the Evangelist, Birchwood; celebrated Fr. Dave Oberts’ 45th ordination anniversary. Parishioners organized a celebration after Mass at St. John; in lieu of gifts, Fr. Oberts encouraged his flock to donate to his favorite charities. More than $3,000 was collected and will be distributed to St. Joseph Catholic School, Rice Lake, and Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic School, Ladysmith. Fr. Oberts was ordained May 24, 1969.

A Park Falls native with more than a decade of teaching experience will be assuming the duties of principal at St. Anthony Catholic School, Park Falls, in June. Fr. Shaji Joseph Pazukkathara, pastor of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, has confirmed Steven Eitrem’s appointment as principal. Current principal Michael Plemon is retiring at the conclusion of this, his fourth year in the position.
