who are asked to assess the candidate must
keep firmly in their mind the Principle of Gradualism:
 
"It is unrealistic to expect full maturity and therefore must measure maturity relative to the closeness to Holy Orders and the ability of the candidate to progress to the sufficient maturity in that time."

Are you asking, "How do I KNOW my vocation?  It is during times of prayer that you will discover the answers to these questions. In prayer, you will grow closer to the Lord and you will find meaning and purpose in your life. The tug of a calling to a vocation in the church requires both direct honesty and individual attention.
