Speak to your pastor about having your parish
sponsor a seminarian.
- Pray for the seminarian by name at least once a month in the prayers of the faithful
- Remember the seminarian through cards and notes of encouragement, especially on birthdays, holidays, and special events.
- Provide financial support on occasion through the Knights of Columbus, Catholic Council of Women, Altar Society, etc. (Note: there is no specific amount intended, but it all helps).
- Invite the seminarian to come to the parish on occasion to speak about his journey/. Presentations can be made in school, Religious Ed, KC's, CCW, at Mass, etc. This is determined by the availability of the seminarian and school schedules.
- Display a picture of the sponsored seminarian, the diocesan poster, and addresses in a prominent place in the church and Catholic School.
- Offer any other encouragement that seems fitting and helpful.
