The Respect Life Office believes in the intrinsic value and inviolable rights of all human life from conception to natural death and strives to respect life, protect it and value its inherent goodness.
The Respect Life Office promotes an awareness of the church's teaching on the sanctity of life by implementing the four pillars of the respect life ethic.
The four pillars are:
- Prayer and liturgy
- Public advocacy
- Pastoral care - law abiding yet compassionate to the needs of each person
- Education and public information
